Along the Alaska Highway

On a early morning, in a misty drizzling rain I happened upon this crystal clear lake backed by high mountains. In the early morning light, the sound of children giggling in the distance pierced the silence. "It's a dream," I told myself, "nothing is this good". I turned to see two figures in the mist coming towards me, laughing, talking in a quiet tone. With an absence of fear, for such a secluded place, two young native ladies approached, and gave the me the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. As they passed me, I asked "Where ya goin?" one replied, "Picking berries",as they continued walking along the lake shore until out of sight... "They're spirits." I thought.

Navajo Night Way Prayer

Uncommon wisdom is prevalent in indigenous peoples. The Navajo Night Way Prayer is like rain on the desert ground.

A long awaited messenger and a desperate heart unite. The Great Spirit chants from His lofty Heights and His son from the earth.

Sinagua petro glyphs

Messages from long ago inscribe in stone the circle of life, depicting the first peoples emergence from the under world, on there journey to the four corners of the earth, to find their rightful place. The panels have been well preserved here on private land, yet others have not been so fortunate, as vandalism is destroying these treasures.
