Taro Fields at Hanalei

What is good in a man life on a high place, and sees afar, into another time. A spirit being he is, endowed with abilities to create beauty where there was darkness.  His dominion be the colors of light, where the call of a voice so true permeates a scattering of all things_ longing for oneness.

But, upon this hill he is met by relentless temptation to allow himself vanity and material possession, which he cannot own_ not even the slightest little thing. Still, he struggles, and in his weakness all he knows is what he wants, Glory. His great power is weakened by the number of the days he is compromised, his understanding lost to this exact degree, and in these days the meaning of all words in his and his children's world is forever changed as they believe they are, what they are not.

The Cathedral, Napali Coast

Young man, Grand things have been placed just beyond your vision. You cannot be whole until you have witnessed this infinitude of art which is completely yours. Give me your word you will do this, and on this journey you will cast away all conclusion for the farce that it is, and listen with your heart. Swear you will never come back to the bondage that you left, and cross over the river. Then, by your oath you free yourself.

Wai'ale'ale Falls, Kauai

The spirit of Humility awaits in a wild solitude, allowing fleeting glimpses of pure beauty to those so fortunate. It is here and there then gone again,  in its ultimate freedom to appear at will to those who long for it so, or remain hidden to hearts untrue.

Wall Of Tears Kaui, Hi

In the Iao Vally, waterfalls emerge from the clouds, and the five thousand foot volcanic cliffs, graced in a sheer vertical rain forest. It is a place of cleansing and rebirth. Mega turbulence, light aircraft, and awesome beauty go well together here, where one can see how wonderfully fragile life is.

Napali Coast, Kauai

My wife took this shot off her side. I wished we could have made another pass a thousand foot lower to get a better shot of the water.

These pinnacles are from 3 to 4 thousand foot, so imagine the height of the waterfall. We only saw it for an instant, then it was gone. One of those 5 seconds of magic that makes life such a gracious gift.
