Yosemite Valley, Merced River

I figure God created  special places on the sixth day, after He was most well practiced, and  later that afternoon  sat down to enjoy them from a position most pleasing... If I were Him I'd be proud.

Bodie Church

This is the church at Bodie California. It's the absolute most extensive and best preserved ghost town one can imagine. The structures, goods, and furnishings were well kept by the arid climate. For one who loves old things it is paradise.

Tuffa Collums, Mono Lake

Tuffa columns stand along the edge of Mono Lake. Tuffa is a carbonate deposit left by geothermal springs under the 40 foot of water that once stood here. Mono Lake is void of most species of fish, but the brine shrimp do well enough to support large numbers of wading and shore birds where many photographers have a good time with their cameras in the sun shiny days of the California desert.

One can't visit Yosemite without first reading John Muir, a man as beautiful as the place.
